The WinterCity Festival actually covers three festivals in one. The WOW! (Wild on Winter) Series at Nathan Phillips Square has outdoor concerts, ice-skating parties and a whole lot of fireworks. The Spectacle Show will see the Nathan Phillips Square located on Queen Street West explode in a mass of vibrant colour.
Street performace troupe Close Act will blow your mind with the skill and flexibility of their show, Pi-Leau, with theatre, music, and the most amazing stage set.
The Warm Up Series gives locals and tourists the chance to get in on special deals with many of the main attractions the city has to offer.
There are also many indoor events mainly aimed at children, such as workshops where you can make your very own animated film or meet your favourite Nikelodeon character at the CN Tower.
The new Art Gallery of Ontario, designed by Frank Gehry, will host a workshop to make a sculpture inspired byt he winter weather, or you can learn how to draw and join a creative drawing class.
Winterlicious gives you the opportunity to learn how to cook tasty main course meals and tantilising desserts for any occasion.
A number of well respected chefs have classes ranging from how to cook asian inspired food, mouth watering chocolates or even teaching teenagers how to cook!
One tasting event will have you sitting blindfolded while your chef serves you a 6 course meal to test all your senses, or you can reserve a seat at a lunch that is accompanied by a catwalk fashion show where all of Torontos top designers show their collections while you eat and drink to your hearts content.
