Beautiful Cancun

Mexico most diversified destination

Cancun is a city in southeastern Mexico, on the northeast coast of the Yucatan Peninsula. The name comes from the Mayan meaning "nest of snakes".
Cancun has become one of the most important destinations, both in Mexico and worldwide. It's turquoise beaches are considered by many as amongst the most beautiful on the planet.
The city is located on the Caribbean Sea, and is one of the easternmost points in Mexico.

The area of activities is concentrated along the 25 kilometer long Kukulkan boulevard, flanked by the Mexican Caribbean beaches such as Las Perlas and Delfines and the Nichupte Lagoon. There you will find first-class shopping centers such as La Isla or Luxury Avenue, restaurants, as well as nightclubs and bars. In this zone you can find a wide range of adventure tours, such as rides on speed boats, swimming with dolphins, or flyboards to fly over the waters of Cancun.

Cancun's gastronomy is a reflection of today's mix of cultures and traditions. In the hotel zone you can enjoy fine steaks (tenderloin, ribeye, New York) as well as traditional Yucatan Mexican dishes such as pibil-style pork and tikin-xic fish. You can also have American casual cuisine including shrimp, sandwiches, and BBQ ribs.
If you want to try seafood with the flavors of the southeast region, then we suggest going to Market 28. This area has craft markets, shopping centers, the Plaza de Toros, and of course Andres Quintana Roo Stadium, home of Atlante, the official soccer team of Cancun.

The Rey Ruins are a spectacular archeological site with 47 structures estimated to have been inhabited by the Mayans as early as 900 AD. It was named after the ceremonial mask and skull found on the site to honor the Mayan Sun God and over the years further excavations have incited speculation over the ruins' history. Many visitors enjoy taking pictures of the hundreds of Iguanas that call the ruins home.
The Templo del Alacran, known as The Scorpion's Temple, is named after the remains of a scorpion sculpture and sits on the highest point in Cancun. Entrance is free and it is highly recommended to visit it during the day as the steps are steep, and with the darkness plus a few mojitos, an injury is waiting to happen!
