Seasons greetings
It’s Christmas time. When Santa slides down his chimney, St. Nicholas pays good children a visit, and Svaty Mikalas (in the Czech Republic) comes down from heaven on a golden rope.In Sweeden, gnomes called tomte emerge from underneath houses and in Japan, its an old man, Hoteiosho with eyes in the back of his head. But in Australia, Santa comes out in his shorts and singlet, and trades in his reindeer for Kangaroos.
Yup, it’s that time of year again. Which means presents in most of world, burning giant straw goats in Sweeden, 24 hour fasts, midnight mass, or in Finland, sauna baths before Santa arrives. It means snuggling up inside with a huge turkey meal, or down-under, having BBQs and picnics outdoors. Whether you’re in the northern hemisphere and enjoying a white Christmas, or down-under in your shorts on the beach, we’d like to wish you a great festive season and an even better New Years’ Celebration!
… and just to make sure that you all get our seasons’ greetings, here are 139 other ways to say ‘Merry Christmas’!
Enjoy and stay safe …
