Sevilla s new attraction
Seville’s cultural, monumental and artistic legacy gained over the centuries can be admired in it’s streets and museums, what makes this city a paradise for tourists driven by art and history. But along the last 20 years, the Andalusian capital has been showing another brilliant, not less fascinating facet – the vanguardism and innovation spirit.
A proof of that is the construction of the new Navigation Museum . A 9 million euros building located at the emblematic Expo´92 navigation pavilion.
“Navigation as a state of mind†will be the first thematic space in which an unique 8.500 LED light bulbs sea will allow vistors to experecience navigate a huge wave that moves itself over a 1.200 m2 surface. The museum will also allocate a congress zone, a media / conventional library with views to the Guadalquivir river and a cafeteria-restaurant that aspires to be the best in Seville. The museum opens its doors on October 2009.
If you plan to come to Seville and explore the city in all their perpectives we recommend you the Sevilla Urbany Hostel.
A centrally located 19th century building with decorated walls by the urban art collective Eltono and Nuria.
It has a different style to that of the typical hostel, offering comfort and quality facilites (air-conditoning, lockers and bathroom in every room) for those budget conscious travellers looking for a little luxury trip.
It’s location and cleanliness have been top rated in most of the hostel specialized portals. Safety is another issue that is very seriously taken into account. (All rooms and lockers are secured by electronic keycard system)
It’s definitely a very nice option for the savvy, modern traveller.
