Each summer, Greek dancers perform at the renowned Dora Stratou Theatre. The dancers wear traditional costumes and perform dances and songs which have been in existence for more than 2,500 years. The dance performances take place every day except for Monday and last for one hour and a half. The program changes every two weeks, showcasing traditional dances from all over Greece.Dora Stratou was a Greek folk enthusiast who dedicated her entire life to researching and recording her country’s folk culture. With all of this in mind, she founded a theatre which is known today as the Dora Stratou Theatre, which has been in existence for more than 35 years.
