Cape Town the tip of South Africa

looking over the ocean from a cliff
Cape Town, located at the tip of South Africa is the seaport to many other things than the two oceans; Cape Town has a wide variety of culture and sights in which to indulge. Cape Town’s natural attractions of sunny weathers, white sand, and mountainous backdrops presiding over their beaches make it perfect for a beach getaway, but there is more to Cape Town than its pristine beaches.

Imagine looking over the ocean from a cliff and seeing the sea foam gather along the rocks below. At Cape Town’s Nature Reserve you find this sight and more. Around the area are paths for light treks and lookout points, not to mention lots of flora surround the area. Another good path to traverse is that of the Castle of Good Hope, itself the oldest building of South Africa. The grounds have a lovely feeling and if you are in the mood to shop, the oldest shopping market, Green Market Square provides for all your desires.

For the ultimate sightseeing adventure, many tourists opt to ride the cable car up Table Mountain and many sports enthusiasts opt to hike to the top. It is well worth the visit (either by cable car or hike), as one can see the entire Cape Town city from the top.

Travel to Cape Town in June and you’ll be sure to capture Youth Day, where most of the public goes into the street and finds vendors and recreation – mostly noted with football and indigenous sports.
