Fourteen islands called Stockholm archipelago
The largest and the capital city of Sweden, known for its beauty, its buildings and architecture, its abundant clean and open water, and its many parks and the central that consist of fourteen islands called Stockholm archipelago.

It is the site of the national Swedish government, the Riksdag (parliament), and the official residence of the Swedish monarch as well as the prime minister. Home to approximately 22% of Sweden’s total population that is 2 million in the metropolitan area and thanks to the Gulf stream Stockholm has relatively mild weather despite the northern location.

Stockholm is one of the most crowded museum-cities in the world. Some permanent collections at Stockholm’s state-run museums are free, including those at the National Museum and Museum of Modern Art. The tourist card Stockholmskortet provides free admission to 75 attractions and museums, including Skansen and Gröna Lund and also includes free boat sightseeing tours. Most museums and galleries are closed on Monday.

Have-to-do’s in the city:
-A shopping spree within the largest shopping district in Stockholm, Norrmalm and Sergels Torg.
-A stroll in the city’s oldest section Gamla Stan, located on the original small islands of the city’s earliest settlements and still featuring the medieval layout.
-A visit to the amusement park Gröna Lund with over 30 attractions and many restaurants. Open from end of April to middle of September.
