Market place of Brussels
Ever heard that Belgium hosts the largest range of different beers and labels in the world ?If you want to enjoy to try them all together, don’ t miss this chance: the first weekend of September the wonderful Market place of Bruxelles will host the 13th edition of the Belgian Beer Weekend.
Many small, medium-sized and large Belgian breweries will present their best selections of beers. You can choose among pils, white, amber, white beer, abbey beer, trappist, strong or fruit beer, and much more.
Entrance is free and prices are absolutly reasonable.
The festival is openins on friday the 2nd of September in the Saint Michael and Gudula Cathedral, with the big celebration the patron Saint of brewers, Saint Arnould, and the consacration of beer by the Knighthood of brewers’ Mashstaff, even if the real party will start at 6 pm with the opening to the public of the place, where brewers from all over the country will offer a taste of their products.
Historical beer carts and wagon will travel around and bring you in the ancient athmosphere of the middle age, with a procession through the nicest streets of Brussels.
All weekend long, entertainment such as jazz bands, brass bands, activities for children will accompany your beer tasting.
So, don’ t forget: 2,3 and 4 September, go for an etilic visit in Brussels !!
