Goa in India, is one of the best travel destinations in the world. Goa is very famous for its long stretch of beaches, it’s between Western Ghats and the Arabian sea. Favorite destinations for tourists who prefer to travel in wintertime but most tourists visit Goa for its endless selection of sandy beaches and coastal attractionsBack in 60’s the city was known and very popular as the hippy capital of the east. Because of the native Hindu culture which is combined with Portughese-Christian heritage. The city has a colorful and long history, dating back to 300 BC, when it was still a part of the Mauryan Empire under the king Ashoka.
But still nowadays this Portughese colony has retained the lifestyle of colonial rulers. Some little but still going on things like siesta’s during the afternoon and also bohemian living and the totally laid back attitude, even if everything else has changed and Goa now is famous for its partying reputation at Anjuna and Vagator beaches.
The biggest town in Goa is Vasco da Gama, also notable is Goa’s capital city Panaji. As its perfect location is just next to the Adrian sea, where Goa proudly stays, its easy to get with the car or bus anywhere, always staying on the beach side and enjoying it. However, the beaches are those who makes the country a hotspot. All through the year you can stay in hotels near to Baga and Calangute beaches, enjoying all kinds of water sports and many other attractions.
Goa is quite different from the rest of India, being as a meeting point of various races, like religions and cultures during the centuries and has a distinctive style. It’s a place where modern west meets with mystical east. There is no country in the world like Goa, where people celebrate Christmas with so much passion as Diwali.
