Capital of wine
Today the beautiful Florence in Italy starts a great celebration, Wine Town Firenze and two days it will be the capital of wine. It’s an international event gathering together high quality wine producers and those ones who love a good wine. Florence will be full of music sounds and theater performances and much more other activities.This event is organized by the committee with support from the A.I.S., Italian Sommelier Association and the Italian Historic Houses Association. The annual event invites all people from Florence and from all over the world to drink great wine and make a beautiful spirit in the town bringing together wine stewards, professional buyers, as well as wine lovers, tourists and Florentine people.
The amazing palazzi of Florence will be opening their doors and welcome visitors into the cloisters, being as a backdrop of the event, they selected the best cured by the A.D.S.I. – Italian Association of Historic Homes of Florence. The main celebration will be in Piazza Pitti, hosting other wine capitals, their traditions and wines.
There will be also wine markets in Piazza della Repubblica and Piazza Santissima Annunziata, open from 11AM until 23 PM. You can come also with your families and kids, because there will be also cgildren’s activities, many different games as Vinopoli, the game allows the children to participate in various educational workshops, play multimedia games, all which are filled with action and fun.
Many beautiful people, beautiful atmosphere and great spirit all over the Florence city, oncerts and shows, workshops and conferences, as well as special exhibits and thematic dinners. Also a cooking show will be there, with ten chefs, each of the representing a province of Tuscany, cooking in a fron of the public on the top floor of San Lorenzo Market, Central Market.
