Great Mother of Gods
A mother spends her all life caring about her children, and we have all our life to thank her for that, but what is the reality? We don’t show that every day , barely in the Mother’s day, which is once a year…second Sunday of May all the world should thank their moms who are always there for us, which unfortunately has become self evident …The earliest tributes to mothers date back to the annual spring festival the Greeks dedicated to Rhea, the mother of many deities, and to the offerings ancient Romans made to their Great Mother of Gods, Cybele.Back in time , people observed Mother’s Day by attending church, writing letters to their mothers, and eventually, by sending cards, presents, and flowers…but not any more, I still try to call my mom or at least write her nice card on that day, and sure flowers, which might be banal but still in this case it feels just right! Christians celebrated this festival on the fourth Sunday in Lent in honor of Mary, mother of Christ. In England this holiday was expanded to include all mothers and was called Mothering Sunday, it’s different in all the parts of the world, but mostly is on May
But we could do so much more, to make her feel loved at least once in a year ..so have you thought about the present you could get her? You still have to keep it in secret, not asking her , what she wants, which is a very commune question that comes from men’s mouth…Some ideas could be a day in spa with her friends, or alone, as your mother prefers…nice dinner with her in a fancy restaurant.
