Tuscany, vine planted hillsides and sculptural stands
The most known and spoken region of Italy really deserves all this attention. Tuscany is a fable, it is a land of fairy tales, but real. Tuscany is and will always be there for you to visit and check by yourself if it is so enchanting like people say. When travelling by train, one can feel the change of atmosphere, the delicate and perfect landscapes, with matching colours, beautiful fields and amazing horizons.But the landscape is not the only good thing about it. Tuscany is also known for its history, traditions, arts, for being the cradle of Renaissance, and for the tasty and smooth wines. It was also home for many important writers, scientists and artists, and today the region has a unique historical, artistic and literary heritage in the world.
Among the greatest museums in the world is the Uffizi Gallery, containing works of important artists and famous sculptures of ancient times, being also one of the most visited museums in the world. The Cathedral of Pisa, one of the finest architectural complexes and an important centre of European mediaeval art, is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, together with other six in the region.
There are many other important sites, cultural events and personalities in Tuscany, the centre of Florence, the “Palio di Siena”, the Medici family, but everything else you will have to discover by yourself, visiting this lovely and amazing piece of Italy.
