The annual Asian Festival adds more spice, color and life to the already vibrant city of Barcelona. The Parc de la Ciudadella exhibits Asian culture, art and customs every year, helping to represent the diversity of the continent itself. This year, in 2009, the festival will include contributions from a host of Barcelona’s Asian communities. Throughout the week of the festival, visitors can sample cuisines, arts and crafts from all across Asia.To start things off on the 23rd of September is the famous Chinese rock star, Cui Jian, who will perform in the Parc. The next day there is a feast of Asian culture, featuring everything from Pakistani hip-hop music and dance to traditional Indonesian music and Bollywood dancing, making this festival one that you won’t want to miss.
