DJ who never sleeps
His career is punctuated by landmark Oyun Ä°ndir – Oyun Yükle achievements, he was the first DJ in the world to sell out a solo stadium event for over 25,000 people, he went up to number one with his single Traffic, that was the first instrumental track which reached the top spot in his hometown of Holland.Dutch trance superstar Tiesto stood behind his turntables at the 2004 Summer Olympics surveying the crowd, the first DJ ever to spin at the Games.
Tiesto’s style before was more trance, now is a mix of everything: trance, house, techno, its the best of all that the dance world can offer. He has traveled around the world, so different influences have seeped in plus he is writing more vocals himself.
The famous DJ says its the only way forward for DJ’s these days, to play a diverse mix of sounds. His brand of trance was always pushing at the constraints of the genre anyway, featuring soaring vocals from the likes of Sarah McLachlan and Kirsty Hawkshaw, spine-tingling breakdowns, and euphoric melodies at every end of the spectrum.
Tiesto is not playing in clubs anymore, because of the high profile gigs and shows which have taken him away from exclusively playing clubs, to become more of a mainstream artist. But the DJ is not to loose one some of his fans, because half of the people are die-hard clubbers and the other half are people who know him from the radio, so the public is a mix of both worlds. Tiesto has been on a tear, spinning at clubs all over the world and becoming one of the number one names in techno.
The Dj who never sleeps, never stops touring. He will exhibit in Rome the 2 june 2011 at Palazzo dei Congressi. This will be the second year in a row that Tiesto willbe playing in Rome. Last year he has played 3hours, and it was sold out with 2 days in advance.
Have to admit, that In Rome more popular and requested are house music dj like David Guetta, but because of many tourists in the capital, infact last year half of the public weren’t Italians. So see you in Rome!
