Women’s day

enjoy your day
On March 8th the world will celebrate a day dedicated to a very important member of society: Women.

This date commemorates the struggle thousands of female activists had to go through in order to get a more equal society. This struggle is not recent, for the past nine decades, at least, women around the globe have stood up for their rights in a society where male figures take the main roles.

The International Women’s Day was first introduced at the beginning of the 1900s, a time of booming population growth, when radical ideas sprung and rapid changes in society took place.

Short after New Zealand gave full right to vote to women in 1893, many other nations followed the example. To this event would follow different reforms to the roll of women in society.

In the next few decades, women around the world would gain the right to work and to be paid equal wages than men.

It doesn’t matter if you are a man or a woman, there’s always a reason to celebrate Women’s Day. The most important one is simple to remember: One of them gave you birth. Let’s celebrate!!!
