Art Hostels News

Nomad Art Hostel Network
Equity Point is a specialized company with twenty-five years experience in the
youth sector. Since 1996, it has been following an expansion strategy which has
brought it to its current management of seven independent hostels in Barcelona,
Girona, Madrid and Marrakech, with over one thousand beds and one hundred
thousand visitors yearly.

HostelArt is a non-profit department committed to all forms of artistic expression, and works within the framework of our services complementary to accommodation. It has, amongst other things, created an international network of hostels called NOMAD ART, which offers space to young artists of all media and disciplines.

This growing network already includes hostels in Spain, Germany, Ireland, Italy, and England. It strives to change hostels the world over into spaces for artistic expositions, and to create an international and exchanges of artists, who, through these same avenues, are able to promote their work.

The hostels, artists and local population all benefit from these grassroots, human-scaled cultural events. The hosting hostel provides the artist with space and the technical requirements for the show, or performance, in the case of concerts, DJ sessions or the like.

The hostel is committed to promoting the event in its community and inviting potential spectators. The duration of an event depends on its nature, and can last from a single performance to one month of exposition. Once the event is complete the hostel rewards the artist with the possibility of promoting their
work in the NOMADART network by offering them one week’s free accommodation in said hostel.

We invite all hostels in the world to participate actively in these projects and to stand out amongst their peers through the organization of these events. We would be happy to provide you with any more information, please just contact us.
