A new initiative has been set up by the Authorities in London to get people off their couches and into the street, away from the television and dancing the day and night away. Big dance 2008 will see thousands of movers and shakers take to the street to bring dances of every genre together for a good old fashioned dance off!Schools, dance fanatics and people just looking for a good time put on their dancing shoes and strut their stuff in unusual venues such as underground tube stops, museums, schools as well as other top venues across the capital.
The event was introduced in 2006 where a world record was broken when 752 dancers performed 44 different styles of dance simultaneously in Trafalgar Square! Will this year’s festival top that?…With hundreds of events lined up for the big event this year and more records sure to be broken you can bet that this will be the most successful celebration of dance in London to date.
So get up, get out and get dancing!!!
