Julius Caesar Exhibition

History’s powerhouse Julius Caesar has returned to Rome in the first major exhibition of it’s kind. Chiostro di Bramante presents ‘Julius Caesar: the Myth, the Man and his Military Feats’ which takes an indepth look at the life of Caesar.

Many items of archelogical interest are included in the exhibition from paintings, mosaics, jewellery and various manuscripts, as well as information on his love affair with Cleopatara, Queen of Egypt.

Born July 13th 100BC, Caesar is considered as the first dictator our world has known. He was responsible for the Roman Republic transforming into the Roman Empire and although was never crowned Emporer, he was an imposing figure over society after gaining control of the government. Assassinated in 44BC, Julius Caesar left behind a legacy of triumph and victory with some of the most successful battles taking place under his reign.
