Estate Romana 1 August-20 September, 2009

Rome, Italy
Rome’s “Estate Romana” or Roman Summer combines a colorful mix of entertainment with jazz, classical and rock music, to film, sports theatre and fun. With more than 150 various events throughout the squares, parks and art galleries in the city, there is a little bit of something for everyone.

Piazza del Campidoglio and the Villa Celimontana are just two of the many venues which host concerts and events, and nearby at the Oppio Hill, you will find the Cabaret Festival. There are open-air film screens set up in the Vittorio Emmanuele Square, on the River Tiber Island and on top of the beautiful Gianicolo Hill in the Trastevere district.

This year in 2009, there are many cultural and scientific events being held to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the landing on the moon.
