Singapore F1 2009

25 26 27 September 2009
Singapore is a beautiful island-city on the southern tip of the Malay Peninsula. Not only is Singapore a wonderful place to visit for its amazing scenery and diverse cosmopolitan atmosphere but for the second year running it is a host to the Formula Grand Prix.
The very first Singapore Grand Prix took place last year in September, the circuit ran through public streets all around the Marina Bay. The race was particularly special as it was also the very first Formula One to take place during the night and as well as that the first street race for Formula One in Asia. Of course, it was a complete sell out, with more than 100,000 watchers, the race was filled to its capacity!

Across the world an estimated 110 million people watched the grand prix on television. This year’s 2009 FORMULA 1 SingTel Singapore Grand Prix is taking place from the 25th until 27th September 2009 at the Marina Bay Street Circuit in the centre of Singapore.

So with lots of people travelling to see the race, you’re sure to find yourself caught up in the excitement of the event as well as exporing this spectacular city.
