Simply a fun little holiday
Fool’s day known as All Fool’s Day. But there is really non interesting or despite history about this day at all like about hallo-ween for example.Mostly is because of the first day of the Spring. From 14th to 16th century mostlyof the Western world celebrated the new year either with a party that lasted from March 25 to April 1 or on the resurrection of Jesus Christ, Easter.
However, communications being what they were in the days when news traveled by foot, many people did not receive the news for several years. Others, the more obstinate crowd, refused to accept the new calendar and continued to celebrate the new year on first of April.
These backward folk were labeled as “fools” by the general populace. They were subject to some ridicule, and were often sent on “fools errands” or were made the butt of other practical jokes. This harassment evolved, over time, into a tradition of prank-playing on the first day of April.
The tradition spread to Scotland and England back in the 18th century, after it was introduced to American colonies. April Fool’s Day thus developed into an international fun fest. The world was introduced with the fun day with different nationalities specializing in their own brand of humor at the expense of their friends and families.
Pranks performed on Fool’s Day with simple “Your shoe’s untied, or I accidentally stepped on your glasses!†or setting a roommates alarm back an hour, and than the prank – the trickster usually ends it by yelling to his victim, “April Fool!”. Often even the news media even gets involved.
April Fool’s in Italy is traditionally a day of practical jokes, pranks, and silliness. In Portugal, April Fool’s is celebrated on the Sunday and Monday before Lent. The traditional trick there is to throw flour at your friends. Americans play small tricks on friends and strangers alike on the first of April. In England, tricks can be played only in the morning. If a trick is played on you, you are a “noodle”.
In this fun day nobody is expected to buy gifts or to take others to a fancy restaurant, nobody gets off work or school, students love this day, so they can trick their teachers, and also teachers can do the same with students by scaring them with plenty of homework, its simply a fun little holiday. So in this day you can full everyone but you must remain on the alert or you may be the next.
