Anaheim, Orange County area
Anaheim is a very popular tourist city in California, Orange County area. The city is named after the Santa Ana river. It has become very famous for its Disneyland theme park complex and of course for its Orange Groves.Back in 1955 city has been completely transformed its tourism industry and Disney Resort has become the premier tourist attraction in the area. But of course, Disney fun park is not the only notable sightseeing, there are many more opportunities to enjoy and to see, like the Orange Coast, the Richard Nixon Library and San Gebriel and San Fernando Valleys, Anaheim Hills, the Antique Historical district, Buena Park, downtown Disney, Fullerton and Yorba Linda.
The city has so much to offer, so the city’s tourist information offices provide up-to-date tourism details and information about attractions, guided tours, public transportation, hotels, entertainment, restaurants and shopping malls. And Anaheim’s Knott’s Soak City USA Water Park is known with its seasonal park housing water rides and a huge wave pool.
Apart the Disneyland there is other enjoyable tourist sightseeing. Anheima House is one of the oldest Anaheim’s buildings, from the late 19th Century. The Mother Colony House is from 1857 one of the oldest post rancho-era houses, full of history and artifacts.
The city ha its own oldest park, Irvine Regional Park, featuring nature trails and mature planting, standing in East Oyun Ä°ndir Orange County. Not to even mention numerous museums and art galleries full of stories and history.
If you wanna get to nearest Island, you can have a short trip to Catalina Island, full of lush kelp forests and peaceful wilderness country. Enjoy Mexican atmosphere and the County Beaches, with surfing swimming and bathing. And Disneyland which allows visitors to shop in botique style outdoor mall next to the theme park without even getting in the park itself. Fan palms add the island tropical feel.
