Back in 2011 at Zurich it was announced that Sao Paulo will be the host for FIFA’s World Cup Brazil 2014. Fifa World Cup is the biggest single event sporting competition in the world, offering a unique platform to raise awareness and highlight selected social and environmental concerns on a global scale. There will be 64 matches played in 12 cities across the country of Brazil with Sao Paulo hosting the opening match on 12 June 2014, the final of the 20th edition will be held at Rio de Janeiro, one of the most prestigious football tournament in the World, do not miss it!

FIFA World cup will offer a unique platform to raise awareness and highlight selected social and environmental concerns on a global scale, for Brazil it will build a better future, it’s gonna be FIFA’s effort towards staging a sustainable event. Brazil will host 32 nations from which 13 will be from Europe, and 12 Brazilian cities will host the matches: Belo Horizonte, Brazil, Cuiaba, Curitiba, Fortaleza, Manaus, Natal, Porto Alegre, Recife, Salvador, Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, where the final will be played at the rebuilt Estadio Mario Filho, better known as the Maracana.

Everyone knows that Brazil’s biggest religion is football, the cariocas temple is undoubtedly the mythical state-owned Maracana, arguably the most famous and once the largest stadium in the world, officially called Mario Filho Stadium. Maracana is the stadium where the only previous World Cup held in Brazil concluded in 1950. Its about 4 month to go and the greatest football spectacle will about to start, all the best teams from all over the world will be heading to the country that introduced the notion of the beautiful game.

It will be the very first time in 64 years, that football’s biggest happening will grace Brazil’s most passionate crowds. Brazil World Cup 2014 is about to experience all ups and downs right to the trophy!
