Enigmatic kingdom of Phnom Penh
Realm of the gods, Angkor Wat was Hindu originally after growing into a Buddhist, it’s the largest religious monument in the world, no matter if you believe in something or you don’t , the temple is impressive, and you will feel inspired next to it. In few words, Cambodia that you see now is the successor state to the mighty Khmer empire, which y the way once ruled and made what is now Thailand, Vietnam and Laos…pretty amazing, isn’t it?Travellers would mostly go for Machu Picchu, Angkor Wat or Petra, but there are millions of other places worth visiting, stunning and unrepeatable. Such as Phnom Penh, never heard about it? You might not be able even to pronounce it, once you say it, it sounds exotic already, and it is, it’s all about saffron of the monks, banks of the Mekong, place of marvelous spires and royal palaces…Phnom Penh is not just Asia’s , but one of the world’s undiscovered gems.
The poverty in this region is hard to ignore, but it’s also on the move to grow, new investors have put their eyes on it, so it’s just a question of time, until the true beauty and treasures will come out…and then everyone will know what’s Phnom Penh. The city is constantly changing, from a classic Cambodian city to a skyline…bringing with it a past and present, making a great crossroads between charm, poverty, class and chaos…one is for sure, it will never stop to impress.

Phnom Penh is not just another ancient city metropolis, it’s what old Asia once dreamed of when they first planning their adventures overseas. It’s true, Phnom Penh first get its spotlight from the impact of war, but that’s past now, which , yes, perfectly fits in here, but now it is wants to be itself, getting out the shadow of ashes of the past…
Cambodia has the eighth wonder in its backyard, but the true treasure in this country is the people in here, maybe because they have been through a hell…dealing with poverty and political instability, only thanks to their unbreakable spirit and believe they have survived.
