Beijing, formerly Peking, is the capital of the People’s Republic of China and the 13th largest city in the world.

If you want to enjoy the beauty of the Great Wall, the Badaling section is famous for its deep-rooted culture, magnificent sights but the Mutianyu is even more beautiful and has fewer tourists.

Maliandao is the largest tea market in northern China. There are brews from all over the country and the vendors will happily invite you in to sample some.

Beijing roast duck is the epitome of Beijing cuisine and if you had to choose just one dish, this would be it.
Jiaozi is another one that can be found anywhere but some of the tastiest dumplings are in smaller family run restaurants.
Jingjiang rousi, shredded pork, is another dish incredibly popular and unlike many others, it originated in the capital.

Beijing’s nightlife most popular bar area is Sanlitun. Otherwise it is recommended to walk along the Chang’an Street for a more chill and observing atmosphere.
