Foz do Iguazu, tres fronteras

If you think that Brazil is famous only because of it beaches, you’re wrong. Iguassu Falls is also a popular destination for tourists, anxious by nature and adventure. Away from the noise and the chaos, it can provide a nice family trip.

The waterffals of the Iguassu River is located in the south of Brazil, called Parana, and is also part of Argentina. The Iguassu National Park has a total area of 185.262,20 hectares and 275 different falls, some of them are 82 meters high. The most famous is called “Garganta do Diabo”, wich means Devil’s Throat.

It falls into a U shape, and is 82 feet tall, 150 feet wide and 700 feet long, it is the most impressive of all cataracts. On the brazilian side of the park, there is a catwalk where you can get very close to Garganta do Diabo and also offers a helicopter tour. Cataratas do Iguaçu is a heritage of humanity and a good destination for those who like adrenaline:It’s possible to go rafting and kayaking, so get ready for a bath in a waterfal! But you may also go rappeling or just walking through the park, full of trails.


The city, Foz do Iguaçu, has a lot of good hotels and restaurantes. The weather is mild, not too high temperatures. The south of Brazil is famous because of the “churrasco”, traditional cuts of meat grilled. Don’t miss out! Take your time to eat and relax, and then enjoy the nature and your breathtaking scenery at Iguassu Falls.
