In the city where a lot of people make their livings from tourism, the prices are pretty high, but don’t worry, there are also a lot of things that you can do for free.

Central Park, one of the most famous park in the world, which you could see in many movies is obviously for free. But besides trees and green area, you can see various statues, free events, people-watching and sites like Strawberry Fields. First opened in 1857 park situated in the center of Manhattan is a perfect place to rest and eat hot-dog surrounded by nature in big city.

The most recognizable New York’s monument is Statue of Liberty. If you want to see it from close distance you can take the Staten Island Ferry for commuters. Technically, the ferry is for transport between Manhattan and Staten Island, but why not use it for touristic sightseeing if it is totally for free. You can save minimum $ 12 that way.

Being in the USA you should also learn something about its natives culture, which you can do in National Museum of the American Indian. Located in the historic Alexander Hamilton U.S. Custom House the museum shows the finest collection of the Native Americans art. It has various permanent and temporary exhibitions and numerous public programs like music and dance performances, symposia, and films, and you can explore it all for free.

Paying only for a plane ticket and a bed in hostel, you have numerous free attractions to fulfill your day and enjoy it in the worldwide famous city.
