The February has reached us and there is no more sadness of winter , just the joy going to the spring and you know what kind of event February represents, right? The saint lovers day around all world, which wasn’t that popular years ago and now it’s like a disease all over the planet. But there are always those single ones, who can’t stand the sickly sweet couples, in restaurants , on the street, cinemas, malls and anywhere else, seems like in this day they are all over the town.But there is something very mean going on against the lovers …every year in February, Valentine Jump Up, this event injects a party vibe into what is otherwise a short period of world domination by sickly over sweet couples. Everything will be hearted red, offering food and arts and crafts and stores stay open till late while the capital’s revellers “Jump Up” to the beat of the marching bands and other live street music, you will see mythical African characters all dressed in colourful silks.
All the restaurants and bars will be open with special deals for meals and unromantic dinners, this block party-style event came just in time for residents and visitors to get something special for their special someone for Valentine’s Day, it’s all about bringing people downtown and business back to the Christiansted merchants. All the shops and stores will be open till late, so you can shop as long as you like, getting store-wide savings and give-aways.
