A beautiful country in Africa
Morocco is a beautiful country and has such a big diversity in location that it is considered as one of the best tourist locations. Situated in North African that has a coastline on both the North Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea. Everything: desert, mountains, valleys and sea – the country has plenty to offer fans of spending time outside!The Atlas mountain range is the most impressive feature of Morocco landscape. They are divided as Middle Atlas, High Atlas and Anti Atlas. Its summits can reach about 4000m high. It is possible to get there by mountain bike or in a paraglider, or to practice mountain climbing, canyoning or pot-holing. The High Atlas is home to the Berbers, there are also small villages with very impressive landscapes.
Another attractive kind of landscape is of course a famous Sahara Desert, which is called there Moroccan Sahara or the Southern province. Really exiting tour, which is offered, is the camel excursion into the desert. From the back of these specific animals it is possible to see everything clearly. There are also possibilities like ATV/4×4 trips and dune boarding.
Moroccan beaches are famous all over the world! Mediterranean coast is simply perfect for having relaxing walk on the sand during sunset. Long clean beaches and crystal water make this region special. It is great to spend there chill-out time and swim in the sea. Many different hotels are a lovely spot to tan and enjoy the tranquil lying on the sands. It is also possible to go fishing or wind surfing.
Interesting is Rif region, which includes beautiful mountains. Inside there are different small towns where is possible to go and have a look, like for example: Asni or Tin Mal. There is also an incredible lake, called Lalla Takerkoust.
The most popular city of Morocco, Marrakesh is known as ‘more than just a city’. Even the name from Amazigh language means ‘Land of God’. The city has got two distinct parts: first one is the Medina, the historical city, and second is the new European modern district called Gueliz or Ville Nouvelle. There is a lot things to do in Marrakesh. It is even possible to take part in workshops of bellydance! A Moroccan meal is an experience which moves all the senses. The most known thing is of course couscous, made usually with vegetables and a lot of spices. Another ‘star’ in the Moroccan gastronomy is The Pastilla. It is an elaborate meat pie traditionally made of squab, often made also with chicken or fish. It is mostly served as a starter. And the party begins…
