International Yoga Festival

30 May – 7 June 2008
The Third International Yoga Festival: “The Wonders Of The World Peace Pilgrimage:

From Giza to Petra” starting in Giza, Egypt, with a ceremony at the Khufu Pyramid.

There will be yoga activities throughout the time in Egypt, on the 3rd day participants travel to the lowest point on Earth, the Dead Sea. The next trip is to Mount Nebo, the burial place of the prophet Moses, with views of Jerusalem and Bethlehem.

The last leg of the journey takes participants to the 2000 year-old ancient Petra, a city carved into Jordan’s rose-coloured sandstone mountains.

The main philosophy of the Festival is to propagate the ancient teachings of Yoga.

Yogic principles can be incorporated and help dissolve the stresses of everyday modern life. Participants can learn about the art of yoga and its benefits, including sunrise and evening meditations, Kundalini yoga, astrology, karma and free will, and spirituality.

This 3rd International Yoga Festival was created after the success of the first two international yoga festivals. This time it is the first festival to be organized in Jordan & Egypt. This festival is organized by Hermes Arabia in partnership with Yoga Synthesis.
