The 28th annual “Great Christmas Pudding Race” will be taking place on December 6th at the Covent Garden Market in London. This unique event brings together people of all ages in a lively race through the market place.Runners are required to wear fancy dress and to heighten the challenge, carry a tray of Christmas pudding throughout the race. Fittingly, the winner of the race receives a Christmas pudding trophy.
There is also a trophy for the best dressed athlete. The entertainment will be in spades as live music, food and guest celebrities will be adding to the festivities.
All profits from the race go directly to cancer research and the goal this year is £25,000.
If you are interested in participating in this years race, teams of six are entered at the cost of £500 and single entries are £100 (those entering as singles will be added to a team).
The race is also noted as being good publicity for business, those business organized teams are allowed to opt out of the fancy dress code and wear company logos instead. Don’t miss this great opportunity to help the community!
