Schengen have now 24 countries
It is definitely easier to enjoy shoestringing it around Europe without having to worry about border checks and passport requirements. Well travellers, rejoice! Open passage throughout Europe has expanded to 24 countries. This means that passport checks and controls will no longer be implemented between the borders of these countries.



This area is better known as the Schengen area….


which initially consisted of Belgium, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Italy; Spain, Portugal, Greece, Austria, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway,
has now enlisted 9 more European Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia.


To have less passport restrictions for the avid traveller is certainly a godsend. However, with implementation processes and the transitions that are taking place, please be sure to double check requirements for border crossing to ensure smooth travel and to prevent possible problems that may arise.
