Tuscany wine and tasting, from Rome

Itinerary through The Val d’Orcia, Unesco World Heritage Site, land of thousand tones, rich in churches, castles and vineyards. First leg is the city where Pope Pio IX, whose name was Enea Silvio Piccolomini, was born and where realized his dream of “Città Ideale”.


Pienza is the jewel of Italian Renaissance; we will visit the historical city center and Palazzo Piccolomini.

Second leg is Montalcino. Tour of the vineyards and cellars of a wine firm in the hearth of the red wine “Brunello di Montalcino” region, including tasting of the local gastronomy products, accompanied by the famous red wine.

After the tasting break, free hours for shopping in Montalcino city center, rich in craftsmen stores and wine shops. We will continue towards Castelnuovo dell’ Abate, a small village close to Montalcino, to visit the abbey of S. Antimo where we will listen to the Gregorian Chants.

The return to Rome is estimated at 9:30 p.m.
