Birthday of Rome

Parade of gladiators
The beautiful capital of Italy, Rome attracts millions of tourists from all over the world, there are many reasons for that, the city itself with culture and art, for its history and amazing monuments to see, literally to stop and stare.

But every year there is something more special to see in the capital, of course its birthday 21st of April, in most beautiful and enjoyable season of the year, in my opinion, when Rome is not too hot to stay in and you can fully enjoy the blossom in the city.

The eternal city will be celebrating its huge number 2765 on April 21. And if around this date you are lucky enough to be in Rome, you will be enjoying re enactments of scenes from Roman history, concerts, fireworks, and the splendid sight of the ancient forums illuminated at night, all that will be open totally free for the public. All the Romans will remember the day when Romulus founded the city in the year 753 BC.

The celebrating will start already on 16th of April the Eternal City will have countless events and concerts. If you want to have the right idea what kind of programme Romans will offer you , there are some of the last year , which definitely will repeat also this year, at least the main ones.

The Great Parade of gladiators, senators, vestals and priestesses along Via dei Fori Imperiali, Ritual ceremony of Palilia, an ancient agricultural festivity, officiated by the six Vestals near the Temple of Vesta located close to the Mouth of Truth and many more. Famous artists performing in all over the city, just come and enjoy celebrating together with Rome. Happy birthday Rome!!!
