Norway’s festival kicks off with the the Norwegian equivalent of the Oscars – the Amanda Award ceremony. If we do some researching and look back a little bit, it seems that it was first held in 1973,featuring scores of feature films presented alongside press conferences, audience encounters with the artists, a New Nordic Films program, a Children’s Film Fest, seminars, professional talks, a festival exhibition and a variety of social and cultural events.

The Norwegian International Film Festival’s Nordic section gather 343 professionals from 28 nations to watch films, discuss films, buy films and enter agreements about new film projects.
