The summer has ended, nearly, September is knocking the doors, and it’s time for Romans to return home from their holidays. Rome has been calmest than ever during summer, as all the inhabitants were gone, only tourists in the city and no serious events to participate at all. The heat begins to subside and Rome slowly and finally takes a fresh breath to buzz with things to do.

There is something really interesting going on in Rome every September, an event that attracts wine lovers,Sagra dell’Uva, the harvest festival with different kind of grapes selling at bargain prices, there will be wine tasting and lots of folksy street entertainment. People from all over the world take few days off on September to be a part of this delicious festival.

Take your friends with you, it’s a beautiful time when rest of the Europe welcomes the autumn, in Rome there is still a bright sun and temperature gets down from 37 to 30 degrees, so you can finally do things, enjoying them, not just sweating and trying to find the nearest gelato place where to cool down. You can buy large bushels of grapes if you’d like to make your own wine, great food and live music will be there to entertain you. Enjoy the grape fair.
