Carnaval Brasileiro
February might seem a very lonely and sad month, but that’s not true, it suppose to be one of the most colourful month during the year, mostly in Latin countries, starting on the 2nd of February. Even if the name is Carnaval Brasileiro, Texas, in Austin, Barton Spring Road helds it as its own , with Americans, Brazilians and Mexicans , a mixture of nations all in one, celebrating and not afraid to share a smile. The uninhibited spirit of Mardi Gras combined with colourful Brazilian flamboyance.If we go back to the roots of the festival, it goes back to 1975, when for the first time few homesick Brazilian organized Carnaval Brasileiro, until today it has grow as one of the best and biggest of such festivities outside Brazil. 2013 will be the 36th time while celebrating the Austin’s best party, the carnival Brasileiro, two famous bands will perform the traditional Rio carnival music non stop. Also samba dancers from the popular Academicos da Opera, with more than 100 drummers and best dancers, a group of 11 Rio carnaval veterans who play classic sambas, marchinhas, and frevos of the best party on the planet.
If you are one of those who think that February is one of the most grey months during the year, I would suggest you first go to Austin, having a party of your life, and think if you still know February of one of the most boring and saddest month…this is the festival that brings Brazil in Texas. The very free spirited festivals provides a feast for the eyes as well as the soul, under the disco ball all the colours will make your head spin around, a great experience, and the best month of the year.
