Have you ever heard about the city that touches the sky? La Paz it’s the legal capital of Bolivia,home of the Supreme Court, you will be surprise to find its quirky beauty, this extraordinary city hides the sensational surprises of the valley below. La Paz is famous for its well-publicized altitude, it very high above the sea level. The recommended season in La Paz is from April until late October, but there is great weather all year round, La Paz sits in a bowl surrounded by the high altiplano, so you could only imagine how beautiful it must be.

Back in 15th century Spanish were obsessed by searching gold and silver in Bolivia’s territory, they quickly defeated the Incas, and changed the economic and social fabric of Bolivia forever. During many years, Spanish forced Indians, which are the major inhabitants in La Paz, to search for precious metals, the silver mines they discovered at Potosi proved to be the largest ever in the western hemisphere, and there started a new ear for Bolivia. In this city you need a time to acclimatize to the local attitude and to experience the many faces of the city, the first glimpse of La Paz will surely take your breath away.



As I mentioned La Paz is sky-high , so the suggestion is to wear light clothes, during the summer, the temperature might be harsh, rain falls mostly in afternoons, the canyon may fill with clouds and steep streets often become torrents of run-off, even in the winter it might be getting cooler, but once the sun comes out, it’s getting hot, because it’s very strong there. But you will so enjoy the pretty buildings clinging to the sides of the canyon, wander the amazing alleys and coloured markets, go to the interesting museums and have a delicious meals in the local, trendy cafe’s or restaurants. You will experience all of it, the bed and the good side, and you will get it , it’s the edgy charm that attracts the visitors being the main goal.
