Vibrant and lively capital Dakar
Senegal is located in West Africa, one of the most popular destinations in Africa, with its vibrant and lively capital Dakar, it has a very rich culture, famous for its nightlife and colorful markets.

It’s Senegal’s largest city, also country’s economic center. In Dakar there are many important industries running, like fish canning and oil refining. Also manufactures like refined sugar, peanut oil, cement and different textiles and many other goods.

Looking back into its history, inhabitants converted to Islam, even if in their religion there is much from animism. Sad but fact that through the 1700s a millions of Africans were shipped from Goree Island to the New World, for the Atlantic slave trade.

Few time British tried to get parts of Senegal, but in 1895 French took parts of French West Africa, and Senegal became a territory of France. Senegal tried to become a independent republic federated with Mali, but it didn’t work out.

As the most population is Muslim, you have to respect the religious customs, you also should avoid eating and drinking in public during the Ramadan time, when one month, when eating, drinking and smoking are prohibited by the Muslim faith. Drunkenness is offensive, so please respect that!

There is so much to do and enjoy, the best nightclubs, live venues, music and art festivals, many “Best Of” in whole Africa. It’s impossible to get bored in Dakar, enjoying its beaches or simply going partying!
