London has many festivals and events during this time, and they are just warming up and getting ready for summer to come up with even more events, Londoners love art, and so do the visitors, so there is one, BT Art Box London.This Summer it will celebrate its 25th anniversary, all the phone boxes will be decorated by leading artists and designers, who will appear across the capital, making it even more crowded, artists from all over the global are invited to re-style traditional London phone boxes, which are usually red! Some already well known, such as Giles Deacon, Turner Prize winner Keith Tyson, Zandra Rhodes,Royal Academy Professor of Sculpture David Mach Romero Britto.
Art Box involves more than 80 creative, altering and designing the much-loved British icon – the Gilbert Scott telephone box. The BT Art box project will see over 40 British and international artists creating replicas of the original K6 telephone kiosk, which was introduced in 1936 to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of the coronation of King George V, in their own style.
