Love’s walk in Manarola

Back to Cinque Terre
Are you planing something different to visit this year? _I think the fashion has been changed, the holiday destinations have changed, now seems like people prefer to go to some unknown place rather than the popular top ten destinations. Italy is all times best destination, but I’m not talking about Rome, Milan, Sicily or Sardinia….of course all are beauties, but I guess you have been there already and it’s time for something new, fresh start for the new years. Nowadays when the world has become so busy that most of us like to escape from the reality and unfortunately from all the fake faces we see , to get some peace and good people.

The best is to visit some small beautiful cities, which aren’t the top destinations at this time, and one of the Cinque Terre town is the best to start with. It’s the second village of the Cinque Terre, called Manarola, an ancient seafaring village in the Riviera Ligure di Levante. You will be amazed and will totally fall in love with this beautiful creation of nature. It’s built on a rocky bluff , and its very well known for its multicoloured tower houses, leading one against the other. The steps of the stairs you will find particulary irregular, which is just another characteristic of the Riviera Ligure region.

Manarola has its very own appeal, like nowhere else, you will enjoy the silence and the beauty of the village, the people there are lovely, even if just some of them speaks English, great food, amazing atmosphere, will make the best of it. Manarola is the oldest of the five northern coastal towns , it’s also the smallest of all. You can go there also for a romantic scene, bring your lover and she/him will never forget it, there is Love’s Walk , Via dell’ Amore, stretching between Manarola and nearby Riomaggiore. Imagine, the best part is just to come, the cars are not allowed in the town, enjoy the peaceful seaside in a very romantic atmosphere.
