New Year’s Eve in Rome

A great night to start the new Year 2014
The night of the New Year’s , a long awaited night, that washes away all the old year and sets humans on a new hope , a better, brighter and more successful new year! In Italy is known as Feast of Saint Sylvester or San Silvestro, celebrated all over Rome, at the main squares and public places music, dancing and fireworks will going on.

The main celebration is at Piazza del Popolo, which is one of the biggest squares in Rome, rock, classical music and mad dancing, and of course a lot of Spumante, Prosecco. On the last days of the year near Piazza del Popolo there will be also the exhibit of traditional nativity scenes , with more than 100 regions of Italy and other countries from all over the world.

If you feel like , spending the night closer to Roman history, you can gather next to the Colosseum and Via dei Fori Imperiali, which brings you from Piazza Venezia to the Colosseum.

The fireworks are truly spectacular, with a breathtaking backdrop of world renowned historic monuments that include the iconic Colosseum, the Spanish Steps, Piazza di Spagna, Piazza Navona…everywhere you go.

Be prepared that the city will be overpacked with party animals, so leave the high heels home, and be ready for the ancient city’s best new year’s 2014 celebration!
