In response to the UN appeal, the Colors for Peace, Peace Run, and Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Italia Associations together with the Sant’Anna di Stazzema National Peace Park will celebrate the International Day of Peace on 21 September in Rome.
At 11.00 in the Sala del Cenacolo of the Chamber of Deputies, an exhibition will be inaugurated with drawings made by children from all over the world.
In the early afternoon, the celebrations will move to the Archaeological Park of the Colosseum where students from some schools will be present on the Via Sacra, including those from the Formia-Ventotene Comprehensive Institute who participated in our projects.
The exhibition on the Sacred Way will present drawings by children from 141 nations from all continents.
The Peace Run relay will then start from the Colosseum and will carry the torch of peace to Calabria where it will be kept for a year in the former Tarsia concentration camp (in 2023 it was delivered to the President of Tuscany Eugenio Giani).
At 6.15 pm in the Parish of Santa Chiara in Vigna Clara in Rome, an exhibition of works from all the regions of Ukraine will be opened. The exhibition of children’s drawings from all over Ukraine will remain open until September 30th.
This year’s event is connected to the concert “Peace on Earth: The Art of Nature” by the Italian Opera is in the Air directed by Maestro Alvise Casellati which will be held in the evening at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington and will be attended by representatives of the Government and American Parliament and delegations from the most important embassies in the USA.
