Cape Town Fashion Week takes place each year in August and this year will be held from the 13-16 of August at the city’s convention center. The fashion week is the largest event of fashion in all of Africa and sees many new creations and ideas every year.The event was launched in 2003 and has since grown into one of the premiere “new world” weeks in fashion, attracting everybody from major fashion magazines to professionals and stylists. The fashion week helps to provide an international platform for both established and up and coming designers from across the continent.
Cape Town Fashion Week is different from other fashion shows, in that it is open to the public and even offers seminars and courses for those who enjoy fashion and admire fashion and who are interested in a career within the industry.
