The City of Vancouver, is a coastal seaport city on the mainland of British Columbia, Canada. Vancouver is one of the most culturally diversified cities in Canada; 52 percents of its population have a first language other than English. The original settlement, named Gastown was renamed “Vancouver” in 1886.

Vancouver is well known as an urban centre surrounded by nature, making tourism its second-largest industry. The city is consistently named as one of the top five worldwide cities for livability and quality of life.

Called ‘Mother Nature’s Stairmaster’, the Grouse Mountain Grind path will take you 850m up the mountain. It is the most hiked mountain in the world. If you prefer an easier way, get on board the Skyride, a giant airborne gondola.

The West Side is home of many public gardens.
The Stanley Park has been called the soul of the city and the envy of the world, it’s slightly bigger than New York’s Central Park. It holds the VanDusen Gardens, one of the best botanical gardens in the world.
The Hastings Park is home to a lake and attracts more than 100 bird species. You can also explore the Momiji Japanese Gardens and the Italian Gardens, featuring fountains, and a picnic are.

At the first snow on the local mountains, you will have 3 skiing options in the area: Cypress, Grouse and Seymour .The slopes are open until around 10pm seven days a week during the main season.
